Avalynne Kitten is my primary carer: when I have a bad apnoea she slaps me awake and stays by my side til my breathing improves.
I realise she does this to protect her meal ticket, but still. It's nice.

How splendid! The late Charlie Biscuits was similarly a fan of body modification - cobwebs, leaves, flowers were regularly pressed into service.
Alas, through it all he stank of rotted fish, so it never quite worked as a seduction method...still...he made the effort.

Absolutely.
My cats (Avalynne Kitten and the late Charlie Biscuits) have always been free-range, and the fact they choose to come home to me is so wonderful and humbling. They get treats from neighbours, but know I'm their mum, and I'm so glad the do.
