Ni hao. Got to speak a Mandarin (learning) in local Asian market today. Then said thank you in same to young woman in the bakery. She laughed and told me she was Japanese. I apologised and spoke to her in Nihongo, which I've studied longer. This is great. Practice in my Irish hometown!
