The photo is NOT from this morning, but the critter in it came to the top porch step while I was sipping coffee, apparently to let me know that the Driveway Diner was in total disarray. (S)he seemed miffed that I did not leap to it and tidy up the dishes, but simply waddled away.

I am pleased to report that in setting up the coffeemaker for morning, I remembered to put a filter and coffee in the basket. The cats helped by not distracting me from the task. Granted, the pot of hot water looked pure this morning, but it would have lacked the jolt I need to start my heart.
