In Poland an NGO put up billboards informing about the genocide in Gaza. Billboards were removed in hours after intervention from Israeli embassy. Apparently they found that such message can be traumatic to children who'd see it. Israel worrying about non-Jewish children is a new one to me.

Good guys Belgium and Spain put up captions stating their views on Israel after #eurovision

Say what you want, but Louis is a master in just letting people to reveal who they really are on camera: youtu.be/lrdldVhfbaU?...

I have to say I kind of regret Israel didn't won. That would be a proper shitshow and chance to see what countries have basic human decency and would boycott it next year.

Respect to Spanish public broadcaster: metro.co.uk/2025/05/17/s...

I'm watching Eurovision for first time in like 15 years or so. Ok it's a spectacular show. But they should also do Eurovision classic. People standing with microphones, singing longer songs with live orchestra. Kind of like historic Monte Carlo rally where people race vintage cars. I'd watch it.

Facebook reminded me that 11 years ago, after a visit to GoMA in Glasgow I posted those pictures and asked my friends which one is real art and which one is a result of children workshop. 11 years later and myself I don't remember which is which. Can you help? :-)

Whiny. Little. B!tch

This Polish classic cartoon by Marek Raczkowski always makes me chuckle:

This.

And the prize for best street name trolling goes to the city of Prague.

School is over. Back to the real, boring, adult life now :-(

I love AI. It’s like they took the concept of SatNav devices that direct you to drive straight into a lake and expanded it to absolutely everything.

OTD in 1955 the Warsaw Pact was formed. A Russian led ‘defensive' alliance that repeatedly attacked itself, its members mysteriously left as soon as they could.

Facebook reminded me a nice moment from my work 4 years ago when I did some express delivery for overtime ;-)

that reminds me of a discussion with my British friends who asked why I never applied for the British citizenship. I told them my passport is just fine and I don't fancy swearing allegiance to some old lady to become her subject. They were trying to explain how being a subject is a privillege...

I saw another discussion regarding British train drivers again today on Facebook. A few of them bunched up and jumped at anyone who reminds the public that British train drivers are amongst the best paid ones in all of Europe - I checked it myself once and only Swiss ones are paid better...

I also bet Putin will not turn up in Istanbul. He would have to face Zelensky, and he's a coward. But also, ending the war without conquering Ukraine is not an option for him, for reasons nicely laid by @caolanrob.bsky.social here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FiK...

It fascinating how Russia still tries to conquer civilised countries while being such a shithole. A Polish youtuber just travels across Russia. This is Vitimskiy Most. It fell into disrepair, locals fixed it with old railway sleepers. (1) youtu.be/SRjtR6HEyUY?...

Remember when something like year and a half ago when Israel was bombing a hospital or a refugee camp, they were still trying to provide some excuse, faking evidence to support their claim that a Hamas base was there or something, and now they just don't give a fuck anymore and bomb what they want?
