Everyone cheering on the demise of Medicaid, with elderly parents/grandparents, needs to realize Medicare doesn’t pay for long term nursing home care. Better start modifying their homes with walk in showers , wheelchair ramps etc. Unless they are just cruel enough to throw them out on the street.

One of Waylon Jennings' first job was as a radio DJ in Texas in the 1950s. His boss would chew him out every time he would play music by black musicians and when Jennings got tired of it he played 2 Little Richard songs in a row immediately after being threatened. He was promptly fired. RIP Waylon

End of December had finally got all the downed trees from Helene cleaned up. Now this ice storm has took out what she didn’t get. WNC can’t catch a break. I have a roof over my head, but please spare a prayer for those in tents/rvs. WNC still needs help, but we seem to have been forgotten.
