The Battle of Mount Sorrel saw intense artillery barrages and back and forth fighting. Both sides took heavy casualties and the landscape was devasted. This video uses animation to show the fighting along with the battlefield after the fighting had ended. youtu.be/wv9bGbDgDjc?...

If you think you’re going to get me to say any part of the Waffen SS was honourable, you’re wasting your time.

The Waffen SS was still a horrible organization. Even the conscripts had choices.

I can’t recall any convictions based only on SS membership

I understand that but exactly were they exempt from? The criminal organization designations was to stop it from starting again not prosecuting individual members.

Ah early evening nonsense

But they didn’t convict all Waffen SS members solely based on membership

I’m just glad enough people supported the Super Bowl.

We should be talking about Mynarski every June 13th and not the other guy.

To defend the village, the 12th SS dug in some of their tanks. While I was on the battlefield outside the village with Paul Woodadge of @ww2tv.bsky.social, we think we may have found one of the spots where the tanks were dug in.

What do you exempted from the criminal designation?

I can only imagine how drunk, and probably naked, Churchill got as the night went on. He was like a frat boy.

Staying up all hours of the night because of Churchill couldn’t have helped that.
