I think we generally just have milder (worse) versions of fried chicken recipes imported from Chinese, Korean, Japanese or American. There are genuinely good restaurants but they can be hard to find.
I would guess that you can find original fried chicken dishes in Spain and Italy.

Korean fried chicken is the best, I've made a Maangchi recipe for Kkanpunggi several times, it's so good 😍
We actually lack any original recipes for fried chicken here in Northern Europe. So instead I'll bring traditional potato pancakes with fried pork to the Potluck For World Peace. 🤣
