The GOP "reformed" theirs.
It can be done. In fact it MUST be done.

It won't prevent them from gutting the government, but it will slow them down. It will also show the US that even with control of every branch of government the GOP still cannot lead effectively.
Most importantly, Trump has personally thrown his political weight behind passing this CR. Vote no.

It's a pretty big book. Heavy too.

The fraud he's finding isn't actually fraud. It's all spending he doesn't like. Spending that was all public information before the election.

Netflix uses Amazon web services to host it's media! In fact they are one of the most valuable customers AWS has!

I've always taken it as "he cares more about his rich dictator friends than the people he's supposed to represent"

If you're talking about Azov, they disband the group, and it's leaders are no longer in power. Now those Nazis are fighting on the front line and dying without having any power in the government.
So you are actually getting what you want in this case.

It's meant to be a start, not an end. The end goal is getting the majority of Americans to no longer spend money with these people.

This isn't the actual transcript and I wish people would stop sharing it, the actual conversation was so much worse.

That doesn't happen in one day. We must build up a movement first. Start with one step! One day! Get people involved and get people used to buying local.
If we can get people started and get some of larger medias attention we might be able to make something out of this.

It's not about maximum impact, it's about getting people started! Creating the foundation for a movement to be built upon.

Don't forget no Netflix!
comment in response to

Use cash! If purchases are necessary spend local as much as possible.

If you're money isn't going to big business it's no problem! You are one person operation I assume and thus a small business.
comment in response to

It starts with one day, and we build it up to more. Meet others who participate, organize and prepare more blackouts. Bring more people local.
Every movement must take it's first step before it can run.
comment in response to
post
It starts with one day, then we ease people into another. Then another. The idea is we bring these people to our local business, create connections which can be used for more organizing in the future.
No movement makes a difference in one day. But you have to start somewhere.
comment in response to
post
The idea is that you prepare essentials beforehand, and if purchases are necessary use cash only and buy local. This is feasible for one day.

People must be loud. We must encourage as many as possible to speak up and and resist.
The louder people get the more the message spreads, more and more people will be willing to fight.

We have everything to gain by participating, and nothing to lose.

Remember also to avoid Netflix, since they use Amazon to host everything!

He knows. There's videos of him talking about it in meetings across his state. He doesn't mention it much on social media.

I don't care what party someone is in, they should not have a monopoly. Power that is left unchecked is corruption. Our country was built on that principle.
comment in response to

If you don't put at least some rules on what a company is allowed to do, the result is the industrial revolution.
Company stores, children working in factories and mines. I have no problem with capitalism. I have a problem with unchecked power. That goes for business and government alike.

Refusing a coalition is not suppression. They are free to speak. Their party is free to operate. No one is obligated to work with them, nor should they be.
If a rebels cause is to put others beneath them, that rebellion must be stopped.
comment in response to

Let them speak. Give them the noose to hang themselves on. Expose, and isolate.
For every Nazi voice, let ten more rebuke them. When they attempt force, they must be met with force.
comment in response to

They do not seek to be included. They seek to subvert, to take control. They do not seek participation, they seek power.
Some people cannot be swayed. Most can, but not all.
Show people a better way. Should they seek to control others regardless they must be resisted.

They know they are not welcome. This is why they attempt to gain power through democracy first, only to use that power to tear it apart. Such groups must be exposed, and isolated.
comment in response to
post
If it fulfills the goal of limiting their influence, this is acceptable. They should never be given reason to think that their ideals are reasonable, or preferable to society.
Refusing a coalition does not silence them. It isolates them. This is the desired outcome.
comment in response to
post
Those who attempt to destroy democracy must be resisted. Such groups cannot be given the chance to twist it into dictatorship.
It is not ok to silence people. But it is ok to not listen. To fight back against those who would silence others.

Those two companies alone have their hands in everything in our daily lives. From government lobbying to entertainment. They got there by pushing out any competition with their insane buying power.
Does trump intend to reduce that influence? If so how?
comment in response to

What makes you think trump is taking money out of politics? What is he doing to stop companies like Google and Amazon?
