(📢) MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: The Daily Beast publishes a sourced allegation that Trump has been a Russian spy since 1987 and then—possibly under some form of threat—deletes it. But in an act of unusual heroism, it left it up long enough for Wayback Machine to capture it text. Here it is (please share):

Guy who doesn’t even respond to the mothers of his children: reply to my email or you’re fired

More genius from the Star. The paper we all need in times of crisis. Unlikely, but true.

Ah, the high-speed rail project that electric vehicle manufacturers (one in particular) don't like *at all* because it means people will drive less? 🤔

Republican pollster Frank Luntz debunks Trump’s lie about zelensky’s approval numbers, points out they’re actually higher than Trump’s 👇🏽

Oh, come ON... #Somerset #weather #news

The Turd Reich has a definite ring to it. #TurdReich

Such sad news. My children were among many who loved to say hello to the wizard in town... Our thoughts are with his friends and family. 😔 #Glastonbury #news #wizard

The poor dog had to be put down. 😞 Police want to hear from anyone who saw the incident, in Combe Street Lane, Yeovil... #Somerset #crime #news #pets

Why is some nationalised defence manufacturing capacity not considered? It can repurpose sites, provide well-paid jobs, revitalise areas. It used to be the norm, for obvious national security reasons, esp during wars. It counts towards defence spend %GDP, but is neutral(ish) on the balance sheet.

While I instinctively recoil from anything using Kissinger quotes, this is shocking and - most upsettingly - probably accurate, in my humble opinion (which is as good as most other I guess!)...

As usual, in times like these, the Star comes up Trumps (pun intended).

Wow. In a nutshell, 'this is now an autocracy because only I can say what the law is, okay?'.

Iconic #Dorset signs - that even appeared in a CLASSIC episode of BBC comedy, Only Fools and Horses - are being restored... Amazing work by those involved. 👇

Recruitment for a replacement - with a salary upwards of £150,000 a year - is set to start asap... #Somerset #news #politics

The Washpost, which is bleeding millions of dollars and shrinking its staff, accepted -- and then rejected -- a $115,000 ad that criticized Elon Musk. Anyway, here's the ad that the Post's business side didn't want its readers to see ⤵️ thehill.com/media/514849...

Eagle-eyed drivers on the newly-dualled A303 in #Somerset may have spotted an error on a temporary sign, pointing them to 'Sherbourne'... 😆🤔 #Dorset #news #motoring #funnyvideo

'Free speech absolutist.'

so special ed programs are getting gutted because their internal documentation used the term "transition" when talking about helping disabled kids enter the working world. they're literally striking at that word wherever they see it.

This guy is literally trying to access your banking information via the IRS. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

I admit to being frightfully uninformed about the Greek financial crisis, so read this to swot up - and I'm glad I did. It reads like a thriller (more so for those, like me, with no clue as to the ins and outs). But be warned, it's heartbreaking. 😔 Amazing, @yanisvaroufakis.bsky.social, thank you.

This is the dream folks... The lease is up for grabs! #Glastonbury #Somerset

This is an amazingly powerful point on communication - and one that is ignored by almost every non-GOP/Conservative/Reform politician in the US and UK. Yes, it's a bit populist, but at least it has the benefit of being fecking TRUE!

'Free speech absolutist.'

And for the third straight day, the rest of the legacy media did nothing to stand up for the First Amendment. No boycott, no walkout, nothing but business as usual. Then, they wonder why people are canceling subscriptions and turning off their TV's while independent news outlets are thriving.

Actual journalists at the BBC would LOVE this, I'm sure... Oh, the irony.

It's very easy to jump on the bandwagon of wanting to abolish this awful 'socialism'. It's HUGE in the UK. Then, as folks realise this means the NHS they rely on *constantly*, and expect to be tip-top, they have no idea what to say. And this includes MPs (an experience I will write about one day).

I have just finished reading Danielle Sassoon’s memorandum in its entirety. It is a tour de force. Its correctness is obvious. She’s an American hero. Emil Bove ought to be investigated by his state’s bar association for discipline and possible disbarment, at least.

Mark Sothcott and Martin Carty have been jailed for life for the murder of Franklin Ingram during a 'merciless' attack at a block of flats in #Yeovil, #Somerset... #crime #news

READ Danielle Sassoon's letter to AG Pam Bondi, via @nytimes.com: "Rather than be rewarded, Adams's advocacy should be called out for what it is: an improper offer of immigration enforcement assistance in exchange for a dismissal of his case." static01.nyt.com/newsgraphics...

Incredible. The new arms race is between young hackers. The literal 'guy in his pants in his parents' basement' can now alter government information... Well done, Elon. Cheers.

Oxford man Christopher Monro, 29, is set to appear in court in Bristol today after being charged with the murder of Peter Monro, who was stabbed to death in Bath, #Somerset... #crime #news

25-year-old Bex McCullgh was arrested as she travelled from her North #Somerset home to 'meet a young boy' in Bristol... #crime #NorthSomerset

Wow.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested as part of a murder probe following the disscovery of a body at a property in Bath, Somerset... #crime #news

In my piece a few weeks ago, I explained just one reason renewables are very much *not* the cause of high fuel bills... These people are frauds and charlatans who are deliberately misleading you.

Tesla's stock is ridiculously overvalued, and even a modest consumer boycott could tank the company, which accounts for the majority of Elon Musk's wealth. The divestment movement weakened apartheid South Africa. Let's do that again. slate.com/business/202...

This is incredible. If Kash Patel makes it through, it's all over.
