Retired women's health, the controversial kind. We did good work. Married to a doc, kid is a doc, the rest are regular (wonderful) people. Real estate designer/flipper, but trying to retire from kicking walls down myself. I love art, design, and learning

When my son started his EM residency, the program director had a cookout for all the residents and their families. She personally sliced all kid's hotdogs lengthwise and in quarters.

My EM trained son asked me to go outside and check all their Halloween decorations for button batteries. I did.

We couldn't make Toronto work and left after a few years. We needed a full time work permit to get health care.

We rented an apt in Toronto in Nov. 2016, and loved it. Husband was a retiring psychiatrist. Now he wants to go to Sardinia. I had to look it up on a map. If we move to Windsor, ON, I can see the grandkids. (He has worked for folks in Canada and has a part time work permit.)

Read Timothy Snyder? www.wbur.org/onpoint/2025...
The Atlantic and Wired have been writing about how the oligarchs want to change society into them as leaders, worker bees, and trad women. (The day Roe fell was one of my worst ever days.) Hitler demolished a democracy in 53 days.

What, is he emulating Florida? A librarian who worked at New College, in Sarasota, was fired. She lived in our condo complex. It is a very different experience being “on the ground” and seeing this happen to friends and neighbors. We have been snowbirds for 16 years.

Thank you, Prof. Kevin. It made me cry, but I'm glad I saw it.

Those of us who were around in the 60s remember that blood. But we are getting old. Can we bring walkers to a demo?

It me, Carol Belding. I made up this name in the early days of the internet, after experiencing push back for being a woman. (Thanks, Peter.) This was especially true in home renovation forums. Hold my beer!

My brother had it too in the 50s. He would cough and cough while in bed, I'm not sure he was awake, or asleep. My mother and I would wake up, stand in the hallway and wait until he took that big breath at the end of the coughing spell.

When I got my flu shot the pharmacist said folks come inside the pharmacy, all the time, to pick up their Paxlovid, for friggin' COVID without a mask. He told his neighbor, "What are you thinking? We have a drive through!" I will never, ever, enter a pharmacy or health care facility without a mask.

When my son was in residency in Michigan, two "kids" were from Iowa. They grew up on family farms. One said to the other, "Corn or soybeans?" Mechanized farming.

Next time. I have AirTags on our TV remotes and indoor cats. I'm old.

Attach an AirTag. Early one morning I looked for almost an hour for my glasses. (No AirTags yet.) I finally found them between the sheets of my made bed. I slept with them!

We bought a Tesla in 2020. We both hate Elon. But we love our nephew who is an automotive engineer who works for Tesla. We wouldn't buy another one, because of Musk, but it is a great car.

My niece lives in Boston in a modest house that she paid more than twice as much for than our son's larger home. (Both have wild kids and pets) She and her husband are both docs.
What do you think of "physician mortgages"?

Living in the midwest makes a big difference in housing costs. We followed our kids and grandkids to the midwest in 2020. Our son is a palliative care doc. We spent our adult lives in Boston where my husband trained. HCOL-City!

I'm old. I worked at Willowbrook when it first opened. I've not been back to LF for decades. My parents retired and moved away. I left when I was 20.

Our family has had facial hemangiomas. A short visit with laser treatment did a good job on a toddler. Another had more complicated surgery to remove theirs as a young adult. So I'm voting for treating while young.

I'm guilty. I threw away a black spatula. I'm not usually gullible. How are we going to stay sane during the next four years of science deniers?

Top right. I grew up outside of NYC. I thought that I would have good pizza all my life. Simple, just walk into any pizza joint and you are good. Nope! I moved away and for the next 50 years I had to work hard to find a good pie.

I would take my grandsons to an early Sunday show at a local theater, masked, 2022-23. There were usually fewer than five people in the theater. We had fun.

If you saw it in the theater you aren't very late to the party. I saw Moana II. Do not recommend.
