Today I learned I've been speaking quite familiarly with some guy for years, thinking I knew him IRL, but he's actually some rando who looks like a friend of mine, and also has the same first name. I mean, we've actually BECOME friends, but I thought the whole time he was a whole other guy.

I was just thinking how brilliant it would've been if there had been e-readers when we were kids. I remember being little and getting "Moby Dick" from the school library, and older boys surrounding me and making dick jokes. Which I didn't get, because I was like eight.

I had the worst dream last night. For months, I'd been exchanging cheap virtual gifts with a friend, but one day, a horrible AI attached a note to my gift: a deeply personal, amorous note, which my friend refused to believe I hadn't written. The level of embarrassment was off the charts.

Always be pushy with doctors. If you KNOW something's not right with your body, make your doctor investigate. You LIVE in your body. You know what's normal for you and what isn't. Don't waste half your life getting treatment for "anxiety" that's actually MS.

I'm this close to blocking all instances of "lol" from my Internet view. There's a lot of anger out there lately, and the angrier people get, the more they substitute "lol" for punctuation. In my head, I hear Beavis and Butthead-style laughter. It sounds ridiculous.
