I used it many years ago, I didn't like ATRAC, most airy and ambience recordings sounded dull. Worked great with pop but not with classical and jazz. Almost indestructible. I think if they had used MP3 vs ATRAC and made it more open to other algorithms it would still be around in Pro audio.
