Boomer. Leftist. Feminist. Fiction writer, lover of history. Lover of debate. I've been doing it online for a very long time. "Shut up" is not an argument. Sometimes, I enjoy reeling in a troll and torturing it. Consider that a warning.

Fascists know they can always count on folks like you.

That's why that audience is so...well....pale.

You need to see a great British series from the '90s, PIE IN THE SKY. It's ostensibly a cop show, but it's really about a restaurant. Check it out.

He will have too much to say about the place he was sent.

IOW, dissent will not be tolerated. You do realize the USSR was not an especially tolerant society, right?

We have yet to see what will be necessary. We can only hope it won't be.

As long as we are realistic about what this entails. I think too many people online imagine it's going to be like a movie or their favorite streaming series. The last civil war we had left scars that still haven't healed.

1/ As a boomer who was in Greensboro in 1979, I can tell you that unhinged & armed Neo-Nazis have been doing those things in this country for decades. Civil war is inevitable only when they reflect the views of the government. And it's not something to be talked about flippantly, as if it is going..

Indeed, it is sometimes necessary, and it's deadly serious, violent, horrible. It's not something to be talked about flippantly, as if it can be done lying in a hammock munching an apple.

How old are you? Do you understand what civil war involves? What it does? Do you think it's some sort of romantic adventure?

Women don't need our gender "affirmed." Breast augmentation is usually performed in order to please men.

Almost your entire feed here consists of you yelling "NYANAYANYAICANTHEARYOUNYANYANYA..."

I disagree. This was a movie about photojournalism during wartime, and about dehumanization, so yes, most of the story is told through imagery. I found it powerful.

Utterly disgraceful. He’s a boorish, uncouth, ignorant MORON. I hope that the families sue him and Elon. The timeline is clear as to whom to blame:

No, an entire century and country is not an answer. You can't find examples and you know it. What evidence of my confronting Nazis would you accept?

So cite the examples, not just the century. My experience as an old white woman is probably much broader than yours. I was confronting Nazis -- online and off -- before you were born.

Where and when did feminists try to prevent black people from voting? I don't know a single feminist who voted for Trump. Feminists tend to support reproductive choice, and are not fans of rapists.

Even after the USSR had rejected him? Can you name a Communist state that allows other parties and does not imprison dissidents?
comment in response to post
Isn't a single party system required in a communist state?
comment in response to post
The imprisonment of dissidents continued long after Stalin died.
comment in response to post
Do you think a single-party system is the way to go?
comment in response to post
Between Nazis and feminists? You plainly know very little about either.

I know a lot of men who are not that way. In fact, most men are NOT violent or predatory. Unfortunately, enough are to make women-only spaces necessary, and there is zero evidence that those reasons vanish when a man says "I identify as a woman."

5/...shrug. "Hey, prison is a hard place to be," while the safety of "trans women" inmates was cited as a dire problem to be addressed by moving them to women's prisons. In short, I saw the same-old same-old, millennia-old male contempt for women's hopes, women's ambitions, & women's safety.

4/ ..."Trans women are men." I saw women athletes hopes & ambitions dismissed as "trivial" while the need for "trans women" to feel emotionally validated cited as all-important. I heard the rape of women inmates by "trans women" inmates dismissed with a...
