I think that it's less that mk1 was financially unsuccessful. And more that WB has been tail spinning for the past 3 years, and they needed mk1 to be a bigger hit than usual.

New yaiba, and yes, it is gorgeous and a blast. And as for mha vigilantes, its existence as a spin-off prequel with a more character centric plot makes it easy to hop on to even if u fell off the main series. Also, watch witch-watch.
