Got a weird email from Wells Fargo saying the ATM I normally use will now only be available from 7 AM to 5 PM. It’s a drive through ATM, so it’s not inside a building and it’s not a bad part of town. Will this lead to machines and robots eventually demanding PTO?

At this point, I think AppleTV has overtaken HBO in terms of prestige TV. Like HBO, I do appreciate the weekly cadence of new episodes which makes me wanting for more. There’s nothing wrong with the Netflix-style binge watching but I prefer the buildup and anticipation of one episode per week.

I love technology but I still refuse to go to self-checkout at the grocery store unless I have less than 5 items. “Customer convenience” is just a ruse for companies trying to pay fewer employees, even though self-checkout still requires help (alcohol, meds, some produce, incorrect SKUs…).
