The "visit" has been scaled back to zero. They will fly into Thule airbase (Pituffik Space Base). That's it. No posing, no talks with politicians, no dogsled race. They are not welcome, and given other scandals, the US clearly feared some really bad photo ops. Limos, Secret Service leaving just now.

Dutton didn't take the wind out of Albanese's sails, he *copied* him. That puts wind *in* the PM's sails. He did something the opposition was desperate to neutralise.
But I guess this is what the election will be: A knee-jerk tendency of too many in the media to frame things negatively for Labor.

Or more realistically: "Dutton says he will match Labor dollar for dollar, but can we really trust the party that tried to introduce a copayment for GP visits & then reduced GP rebates"?
Any of these would be legit frames, but I guess they don't match the "Peter Dutton says" mindset of oz media.
