My friend's memorial service is today. It still doesn't seem real. And I have been subconsciously trying to do everything to keep busy so I don't have to think about it too hard.

My friend is still gone. And days later I am still without real words. And I found out today that his two dogs were taken to the shelter. And they won't understand why they were thrown back into such a place. And they won't understand why he isn't coming for them. And I cried about it all.

Someone I have known since I was 18 years old passed away unexpectedly. We got alerted about it today. I literally saw the guy Saturday at game night. Even hours after getting the news I am still not really sure what to say. I am not often at a loss for words but I am today.
