According to the Fandom Wiki (MiiWiki says nothing helpful) the (Traveler) Armour summons Calamitous Armour instead of Spirit Sword/Shields, so you can't get the monsters that way either.
My Journal says that I've beaten 2 Spirit Swords and Shields, but 4 starbit Armours, that's evidence for me.

Wait, no, the second thing Mythra does after waking up from dormancy is sleepwalking into Rex's bed. But she didn't do that consciously so...
Also did I seriously just block that scene out of my mind on my second playthrough? I totally forgot it happened at that time.
