Finally an online game that doesn't make me salty. I'll end up in 20th and say "Well clearly that one didn't count, time for another round!"

Btw, where are the Nokis? I know the ones in 8 looked like they were toxic waste dumps, but c'mon we can get there!

All these sunshine references... No, no, I shouldn't even think about it.
They would have torched the Mario sunshine Romhack (you know the one) if they were even considering the idea.

And drive through Yoshi employees! Damn they really gave Yoshi a dead end minimum wage fast food job... Actually considering how happy everyone is this place is basically racing Disneyland. Not that Disneyland employees aren't their own brand of tortured, but those Yoshi's are making bank I bet.

Game is peak. Obviously I don't want to pay 80 bucks for peak buuuuut
The game has so much personality. The posing and voices!
There's no way to say this without sounding weird. They uh... They made toadette too chunky? Like, go off queen don't let me judge, but... 🧵

Ooh, question blocks! I'll have those as I trick up to them! Sometimes I'll start a free roam mission and a bunch of racers are just having the kart version of a jam session, just driving around for the fun of it! Can you imagine people used to drive for fun back in the day irl? Oh and the MUSIC! 🧵

Like despite double the player count (I've only done single player) there's still only a couple stars and blue shells kicking around?
The world of World is to die for. It really feels like racing in a Mario world. Oh, toads backpacking! Oh, some idiot strapped a bob-omb to their car. 🧵

Gates' story is so underrated! It's still probably not my favorite but it's definitely my favorite ending!

I'm a serial yapper, but whenever I run out of stuff to say I just do some variation of humming/singing to the game music.

Yeahhhh Chimecho! I may be biased but I feel she doesn't get enough love.

Oh my gosh this was my team setup too!
So I'm curious, how did you interpret a part of that scene? (Spoilers)
Did our attacker repeatedly stomp on the protagonist, or did they knock the protagonist away and the stomping was them approaching for the kill shot?

Its so much fun. A lot of times Ive played in custom systems or expansions of 5e, but we usually just end up reflavoring existing races as pokemon or having simple new races.
But once you make a pokemon setting for a campaign and daydreaming of how clerics worship legendaries, there's no going back

Call me biased, but I think these are great!

GTI and super have cool group dynamics that could make for good inspiration (though Super may feel similar enough to prior games).

Update, Saturday stream is off. Yippee employment!

It's my second favorite too!
The real scary part is what one you put over it. I've got Super Mystery Dungeon as mine.

Gates made me cry the most too! I can only imagine that emotion being compounded by the realization there's no more official games to play.

That's so incredibly true. Just between two PMD games drawing art for thumbnails it's like two entirely different people. By the third game done it was scary how much progress I made!
And the more you interface with other people's art, the more inspired you get!

Sunflora does seem like the kind of explorer that despite being super nice is very picky on partners based on stats and typing. XD
Also this is adorable!

This game is begging for that child-like roleplay of pretending to be your character while driving around. And so much more cool art will come out after this scenario had been set up by the game.

Definitely! If you like how the games incorporated pokemon into a setting, you'll love the thought experiments that pokemon bring to D&D. What does a warlock of Giratina look like? What kind of magic schools and societies would pokemon make, and how do rescue teams factor into the usual D&D setting?

I may just sound like the guy that only plays PMD, but Brothership is very PMD-coded imo. Team of two, isekai, various RPG things.
I could go on but I'd be getting into spoiler territory.

Mysteriosity is amazing for worldbuilding. So much potential!
After all, now that's it's a quantifiable energy, who's going to harness that power? And what will they use it for?

Once you do you can never go back. I'm done with dwarves, let me be a sentient Olive.

I can just pick a pokemon mystery dungeon at random. Kid me cried at the endings of Blue rescue team and Super, adult me cried at Gates to Infinity and Explorers of Sky just had me staring at the ceiling at night in astonishment.

The gameplay really can have its charms, you can enjoy it for more than just the story.
...Oh and Gates has the best Ending sorryyyyyy!

The Emolga's got little gloves aaaa!
I need to try making a reference sheet. I just throw dudes in white voids these have so much more personality to them!

How dare they make me like Gulping now and absolutely adore Cherrim! Man what a wild first Romhack I picked to try. XD
