Kinda wishing I had more indie stuff on here, but I mostly don't know what to expect there.

Had to limit myself to only 1 row of Capcom lol. Had Dino Crisis on there but I think it's too soon after that poll they put out last year.

Metroid Zero Mission (2004, Nintendo Switch Online)
Not on the list but impulse played this! Probably not as good as Super Metroid but really great! Felt like Metroid in both its purest and most polished form. Wish this and Fusion would get remastered so we're not locked to the GBA control scheme.

Clock Tower (1995 [2024 Rewind rerelease], PS5)
Played through this a few weeks ago. It was an absolute blast. Definitely a product of its time, but I really loved the retro feel. Got multiple of the endings. Could easily see myself doing a quick run of this any Halloween season.

Thinking about starting to correct some of these but only the Glup Shittos. I don't want any of the human characters.

How do you confirm this? What's stopping them from just saying they did? 🤔

I think Mother 3 game really stands as a reminder that games are made by people, not companies, and you should be following individual creators' careers to find the most interesting art and entertainment.

When people say Nintendo has lost some of its magic, I'd usually chalk that up to childhood nostalgia. However, I think it's undeniable that a big reason that stuff this special got through Nintendo's approval process is because of Satoru Iwata, and with him gone part of that also faded in a sense.

This incredibly personal, anti-fascist, anti-consumerism, pro-environmentalism, and extremely weird piece of art came out of the biggest and most successful video game companies of all time.

Mother 3 (2006, GBA)
Incredibly easy to see why this is as influential and enduring as it is. Funny, heart-warming and devastating. Really fun RPG combat as well. Going to post some extended thoughts in a separate thread.
