Everybody was having great faces.

Yes, Thomas’ comments are not illuminating, they are governed by his ideological proclivities. There is nothing scientific about his scrutiny and there is no basis for him placing himself above the experts.

Being constantly on the wrong side of things is also kind of impressive.

And people wonder why Twitter is considered superior. Shaking my smh

Just join the Republicans already with this level of delusion.

I don’t blame you. I just don’t give them any benefit of the doubt anymore, even if the my say tangentially correct things from time to time. It’s the republicans playbook of dissenting when it is (relatively) inconsequential. However, when it counts, they always give us the stick, no exceptions.

Traumhaft, wie das manchmal so ineinandergreift. Sollte mal jemand wissenschaftlich untersuchen.

It’s just a variation of their evergreen. Sometimes it’s “oh you support due process for criminals. So you support murderers and child rapists!”, other times it’s this.

Ok, thanks for the correction

“On second thought, decidedly worse.”

I was under the impression that this bill cannot be filibustered because of the approval Chucky and the others gave earlier in the process. Maybe I am wrong though. Congress procedures are quite complicated.

This is unacceptable, I’ll never sleep again 🫡

Always greatly appreciate it when sports people get involved like this. So many people - somewhat understandably - focus just on sports which I find weirdly irritating in these times. Glad to see you use your platform to promote good causes and not just “shut up and analyse”!

And due the proclivities of the bully, the guy whose ass was kicked should really be the first one to unilaterally take the step of embracing nonviolence

And as a counterweight, the inclination to display one’s unwillingness to understand the reality of the situation for everyone to see has greatly increased.

You know, just posting a man wearing a January 6 hat like it’s nothing.

And the WaPo is not far behind. While posting this about the military parade they speak of “thousands” protesting in another article: bsky.app/profile/wash...

NYT: “best I can do is give a lengthy explanation of the term remigration and why it is seen as controversial by some voices.”

Yikes. It’s amazing how you manage to stoop to new lows of sane washing this fascist regime. Same with your headlines regarding Senator Padilla’s treatment. Absolutely failing the challenges of the current situation. Proudly burying democracy.

I genuinely can’t figure out what he is trying to say here

And she even lays the whole logic bare when she says that it’s ok to fuck over young people (i.e. not her) because they can adjust. But fucking her over? Not ok. She has not learned a thing. The leopards are not the problem in her eyes, just that they are eating the wrong faces.

Democrats should act quickly. Once all the fourth graders have been bundled, how will they convince the swing voters that they, too, can be decisive?

… getting told additional stuff makes it feel less like I am presented with this very specific perspective conjured up just for me.
comment in response to post
I am not a writer, but as a reader it feels like that “superfluous” stuff can help to make it seem more real. If everything matters/foreshadows etc. it feels like I am looking at the world through this artificial “story relevance” lens. Of course, it’s very subjective, but…

Yeah, and the series is nice too

Well, you see, acting differently would have violated the highest ethical directive of them all: maximize yield You are free to do whatever with the profits, but you must always follow that directive or be a complete moral failure.

Yeah, there is no need for the arguments of Curtis Yarvin or Chris Rufo and the likes to be spread here to make it diverse. We know of their arguments and that is sufficient. At some point it is enough to acknowledge that they are enemies of democracy and stop engaging with them.

What absolute horse shit. „Sometimes a camp is just a camp” From the editors of such classics as “he’s primarily trolling” (regarding Musk’s nazi salute): www.theatlantic.com/technology/a... Stay tuned for upcoming articles, e.g., “Sometimes a public execution is just a public execution.”

Same passivity with politicians. If the issue doesn’t already poll well, we won’t do anything about it. No convictions

“Ms. Ernst’s statement that we all die at some point is -although I have to emphasise, technically correct- in our view not the correct signal coming from the US government. I strongly believe that people are looking forward to a Democrat government that uses more careful wording!” everybody claps

Okok, but show me the stats of people who later dyed their hair in a different colour. This is clear evidence that they regretted ever dying their hair ginger and should never have been given help from the get go.
