78 years ago today—in the heart of my district and just a few blocks away from where I went to school—Jackie Robinson stepped onto Ebbets Field to break the MLB’s color barrier. Today, we honor 42’s legacy as a trail-blazer and inspiration to all willing to fight discrimination.
