Dawned on me today that the second half of 2026 has a US/Canada/Mexico hosted World Cup, the semiquincentennial of the United States, and midterm elections. Things are awful now - but those months sure seem like a serious inflection point of many many things.

Y'all this is REALLY BAD. They disappeared a Palestinian activist green card holder who is married to a US citizen. He could literally be ANYWHERE 🌍 right now! ICE claims they cancelled his green card, something no judge has ruled on yet. Columbia colluded w/ ICE to make this happen.

Recently got the new module, Multimod, from @makenoisemusic.bsky.social Happy to discover it can function with audio rate signals as it mults the signal via a recorded buffer. Not every read mode works but most do and you can create crude loopers/pitch shifters/bit crushers.

We only know this man is in Gitmo because Noem tweeted a propaganda photo that included him and his sister saw it. He has no criminal record. He entered the US in January and immediately made an appointment with CBP to claim asylum. They sent him to a concentration camp bc of his basketball tattoo.

I do not follow the NFL at all but always look forward to the Superbowl as a strange mediated American holiday. Kind of the last thing "we" all do together as a nation. It's been pretty grotesque since 9/11 but always a snapshot of "America" in so many weird ways.
