This app feels weirdly curated, even with the ability to set up different feeds. Starting to see more and more writing content in my main feed though, which is nice

Truly one of my favorites. It deserved way more love

Oh to be clear, I think it’s a terrifying idea. But I also imagine that’s exactly what they’re planning

Turns out my taste pretty much just runs to low-budget 90s So-Cal action comedies or tentpole disasters with flashy production design

Johnny Mnemonic is such an awesome movie - I’ve never understood the hate. Anytime Keanu wants to do a dystopian/cyberpunk film, I’m immediately onboard

I did decide I would revisit it on a night I could enjoy an edible beforehand, so that’s probably telling lol

Still need to finish it, but I enjoyed the parts I saw - though I do wonder if the humor will wear thin over the length of a full feature.

I find the total amount of times a word appears in a script is a less useful metric than how many times it appears on each page…
Using the same word 115x in a 120 page document probably won’t bump me -
But if, say, 60 of those are on the same page, it’ll be an issue.
All depends on how it reads!

Hey - I got one of those too! He unfollowed me when I never responded 🤣

Tremors is one of my favorites! Such a great movie

They’re great so far! Halfway through Butcher’s Masquerade now - very much enjoying them.
And I love The Dresden Files - great rec! I’ve read most of those a couple times, at least up until Skin Game. The most recent ones I’ve only read once each so far

I think I remember that one. It was written by either Rod Serling or maybe Charles Beaumont… though it could have been a Richard Matheson episode now you mention it.

This dude got upset that his main actor has been posting pro-LGBT and anti-NAZI messages and thought he should pushback by both-sidesing the issue. Real cowardly behavior

Told my reps to try, even if it’s a long shot. Got a great sample for it, and I’m a published Buffy scholar - but my experience is mostly features, so 🤷🏻♂️

No. This isn’t it. NAZIs have no place in our society. Tear that shit out by the root.
I urge you to look up the paradox of tolerance and see why rhetoric like this is not helpful

Exactly. For so many of them, the cruelty was the point. They just thought they would get to be on the other end of the fascism stick

I’m also curious how to watch! As a New Englander, I think I’m throwing my support behind the Banshees

Definitely feel you there. Switched to a new WIP that feels cathartic to write, so that’s made it a bit easier. But creating anything is tough right now

Been saying that since November. America is now in full control of the fascists.

Mind boggling how bad Dems continue to be on messaging.
Project 2025 was published two years ago - would’ve been nice for someone to come up with some ideas to counter it

I mostly just keep to myself on these sites - I almost never end up in the starter packs, but at least I also don’t have to deal with too much drama 😅

I’ll take what little bastions of hope I can get. Would love to see more people repudiate him

Yeah, I was just thinking how young I was watching a lot of this stuff. Pretty sure my parents let me watch Alien Resurrection when I was like 9 😅

I love the first two movies so much; my kids are definitely not old enough for them yet, but I look forward to watching them together someday.
