Justs realised that I'll have to mis this Friday's double dose of 1998 episodes of #TOTP due to doing other things. Having now seen the lineup, I'm not missing much!

🎶calling out around the world, Are you ready for a piece of shit 🎶

Great name for the editor of this book.

That this tracks to the same timeframe as the rise and sustained career of Oasis is purely coincidental.

During crises like these, look for the helpers. For instance, until ChatGPT is down, ask me any question and I will make something up.

Musk's Twitter is now running paid advertising calling for the extrajudicial execution of protesters in Los Angeles. In most countries around the world, this is a criminal act.

Dear USA Deploying troops against civilians will not go well. Yours Great Britain and Northern Ireland

I've found my old iPod Touch. I'm surprised how small the thing is. Now, will it still work, and where's the charging cable?

quite funny that the beeb do their bbc verify bollocks but also want to appeal to the 'immigrants get given BMWs' knobheads who'll never believe a word they say anyway

Something Cathy pointed out last night: whoever was in charge of choosing an estate agent to flog the old BBC TV Centre now it’s been converted into luxury flats really DID NOT think it through…

Sending my best to David, though that typeface doesn’t bode well.

When the last desk is cleared in CCHQ, the last councillor voted out, the last direct debit cancelled, the camera will pan to David Cameron. "See, it did stop the party from banging on about Europe".

It’s 2025. Jared Leto is starring in a Tron sequel, Kevin Spacey won an award at Cannes, Ezra Miller, Shia LaBoeuf, and James Franco all walked the Cannes red carpet, Garrison Keillor and Ryan Adams are touring, Louis CK won a Grammy… Tell me again that “cancel culture” exists

Give a man an improperly prepared fugu fish, and he eats for the rest of his life.

Please help, I'm trapped on this island, no no don't rescue me, just blow it up

An extraordinary ruling at the High Court today revealed that cases have been featuring non-existent citations and made-up quotes because of the use of AI Lawyers were warned they could be prosecuted or banned from practicing for using false AI-generated material www.nytimes.com/2025/06/06/w...

Been in a pub for a couple of hours or so. It's rammed, and mostly with people I've not seen before. Perhaps some other pub has shut unexpectedly.

Truly bizarre exchange just now in which Kemi Badenoch demands that the BBC tells her whether or not Liz Truss is still in the Conservatives, despite her being in charge of the actual party herself

Are either of them dead yet?

The life cycle of an 80s pop song. 1. Release. 2. 12 inch 3. Cover version 4. Re-release 5. Sample in rap song. 5. Sad emo version on movie soundtrack 6. Closing number in musical about band. 7. Performed on Jools Hootenanny by aged original singer. 8. Karaoke 6. DFS ad.

-Go on. Do the Bluebottle voice -What voice, your majesty? -Haha! Yes, that’s it. Priceless.

It's weird that this sort of thing, on a commuter route of all things, aimed directly into the faces of the people it is designed to erase from the working population, isn't catergorised as hate speech.

Weird they're showing Swan Lake on Fox right now

Look I’m still not going back to Twitter or unmuting their names. Just tell me when one or both of them are dead

Come on Ketamine fuelled outburst!

"I've got a brand new content harvester"

If you see this, QP a show with an awesome theme song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTYq...

"I am Sitting in a Room and Having a Bad Time"

It’s the 22nd anniversary today of the announcement that a renowned, pony-tailed goalkeeper would be leaving Arsenal and joining Manchester City. Or as Sky Sports briefly put it:

What is the end goal of all this ai? No one's paying to use it so why is it being forced in to everything? I can only assume it's like a drug dealer trying to get people addicted before saying "this next one isn't free", or it's an alien invasion and everyone using it has a small X shaped scar.

I remember the dot-com boom. That was shit, too.

I wonder what Douglas Adams would have made of all this AI claptrap? And who are the current Sirius Cybernetics Corporation?

Just throw me into Mount Etna already

I didn’t think we’d get busted so soon. Ok I own up. Patchwork is the band I out together to perform the Pebble at One theme in the 80s. Me, Chris Spedding, Brian May, Jack Bruce on bass and Bungo on drums. We’ve had to make some substitutions, (obviously) but greatly looking forward to it. 👍
