I’m certain you’re right since i’m no expert. I was sort of jesting considering how intertwined NATO made our defense architecture. Still it seems unavoidable that we are going to have to rely more and more on local techs and drift away from US equipment. Australia didn’t mind the penalties (subs).

Talking about cards in hands, how many outstanding F35 orders do european countries have ? These things are quiet expensive and only needed to carry US nuclear payload. They could be replaced by Rafales to carry French nuclear payload instead. We could at least voice the idea and see how it hits.

As I relistened to those 10 mins, in my mind, I replaced your POTUS and VP by cops talking to a rape victim, siding with the rapist. I am just a european nobody, imagine how the Ukrainian people are feeling. The US is now in a fight for its soul.

My blood froze listening to Vance and Trump. Something truely broke regarding my feelings towards the US. There is no longer any human value for them. We are on our own and we must wake up now.

Hmmm. Russia will never agree to let Ukraine have true security garantees. It’s still to early to speculate about post war stance but it’s always good to reaffirm Europe ´s willingness to address it.
