Despite damning evidence the govt clinging on to private ownership of water in England; people fleeced for 36 years. Prospect is sewage dumping, health hazards, lack of investment, higher domestic/business costs, tax dodges, asset-stripping. Public ownership is the only way out.

"With this latest announcement the government is just fiddling while Rome burns, or more accurately fiddling while England drowns in raw sewage", says @weownit.org.uk director @cathobbs.bsky.social on the water company bonus ban

If you want to "leave" the ECHR, which of these rights do you want to give up for yourself and your family?

Blue-on-blue verbal fisticuffs is always a joy: especially when it’s pseudo-intellectual and fake toff Rees-Mogg getting a metaphorical kicking.

"Old fashioned print media is in decline everywhere but in the mind of the nation’s political class. The result is that our leaders are getting a very warped sense of what the average voter thinks, reads and cares about."

"Nigel Farage wants to leave the ECHR to make YOU considerably poorer. No state pension. No minimum wage. No state benefits. No maternity pay. No holiday pay. No sick pay. And ultimately, no NHS. Nigel Farage is not on your side. Wake-up!" via Sarah

No money for people with disabilities. No money for the elderly. No money for children in poverty. Always money for war.

By ignoring public ownership as a solution, the government has shown that it’s still wedded to Thatcher’s failed privatisation experiment. @hugofearnley writes for @lbcnews #publicownership #waterreport #water #kkr

Privatised water monopolies have failed, clearly and catastrophically - and it's customers and the environment that are paying the price for shareholder profits. It's long past time to bring water back into public hands, where it belongs.

By taking public ownership off the table from the start, the government’s "largest review of the water sector since privatisation" is just moving deck chairs on the Titanic. Privatisation is not a problem - it is THE problem. Sign my letter to Sir Jon Cunliffe: actionnetwork.org/petitions/si...

No, we need our children to leave school educated. Training people for jobs is the responsibility of employers. observer.co.uk/news/opinion...

“conservative socialism”? WTAF? www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

They want to leave the ECHR because it will allow them to abolish the State Pension, the Minimum Wage, and paid holiday and sick leave. It would make them tens of billions a year. But of course they say immigration, because they can't tell you the real reason.

So, Wes Streeting, private health firms have given you shedloads of money without expecting anything in return and it’s only a coincidence that you want more un-evidence-based, expensive NHS privatisation? FFS, Labour, after 14 years of Tory lies, people deserve better than this.

So this happened (legit part of my teaching of and research into spatial audio experiences). If you get the chance to do one I thoroughly recommend it. Doing a presentation on similar stuff at a symposium tomorrow. Get me, eh? www.darkfield.org/schedule/fli...

That’s what someone on ketamine would say

Labour under Starmer is ideologically opposed to an alternative left policy programme. If leftists want this, we’ll have to do it without this iteration of the party. Starmer, and the whole front bench, would have to go. They are not of the left. labourlist.org/2025/05/andy...

Without 'centrist' sabotage, we'd have a socialist government right now. That's the true cost of 'centrism.'

www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... Peoples lives have just become an expensive pain in the arse. Work doesnt pay, bills leave nothing left, food extortionate. Try to use institutions or services you pay for, they are woeful. Trade deals and GDP dont matter. People are sick of being mugged off.
