Impeccable work! Yellow-rumped warblers are one of my favorites. That little bit of yellow on a dark winter day is so cheery. My bird nerd group calls them butter-butts.

Lovely photo, but just so you know, these are tansy ragwort (Jacobaea vulgaris) flowers. They are native to Europe and invasive to Aotearoa New Zealand. They also cause birth defects in livestock. Its best to highlight native plants instead of harmful invasive ones unless its a PSA.

Yes! It's a close-up of a larger painting.

So cute! I worked with long-nosed leopard lizards in Oregon as my first real introduction to wildlife ecology. They are such cool animals with a lot of personality!

I love seeing sketches. Sometimes more than seeing the end result!

I frequently have existential nightmares about orca, though I don't think that's a bad thing and I love orca 10/10. I have gotten up close to pink river dolphins in the wild, which was like meeting unicorns 10/10.

Hi Christina! I just joined Bluesky! I'm an ecologist and artist from Washington State, and I just completed my masters degree in science communication Aotearoa New Zealand. I fed a kunikuni pig a bunch of apples today and scratched her ears. paulinabarry.wixsite.com/website
