When this happened at State during 45, the secretary didn’t get fired, the (very popular with both parties) IG got fired for investigating the scandal.

I… think the current executive branch just doesn’t care? Why would they care when congressional GOP (who’d have some power if they chose to use it) is letting themselves be steamrolled / made irrelevant, and in most cases supports what the exec branch is doing without them?

Under normal circumstances, it could make sense for you to post a long, nuanced view on tariffs. But not while the constitution and the fabric of our society are burning in a dumpster fire.

I have a local friend with a ‘24 Equinox EV who got a great lease deal and likes it a lot. Another friend has a ‘24 Blazer EV & likes it too. I just got a ‘24 Hyundai Ioniq 5 with a great lease deal & like it a lot so far, though haven’t yet taken it on a long trip.

Mention of ABA reminds me… At what point does disbarment become a viable lever for Team Rule of Law? I’m not a lawyer but I have to imagine there’s plenty of blatant legal misconduct throughout the new regime.

#BloomScrolling might be the most direct antidote for me. I also started reading again recently - the Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. Long books but enjoyable.
