Will this wire be needed? Only time will tell. Fujica ZXM 500 Sound

Agreed.

This crappy Super8 Bell & Howell AutoLoad 308 finally has a productive use. More to come on this model.

Another project that's in the works. Hope it continues to be free of rust and corrosion in many areas. Fungus, is another issue.

The Fujica ZXM 500 Sound Single-8 Just take a look at all the hook-up inputs available back in the day for this sound model (including other Sound movie cameras). Definitely a "time capsule" to behold. This was available in my generation. Sound film was discontinued being unsafe environmentally.

The Fujica ZXM 500 Sound Single-8 Operations of it's film compartment

The Fujica ZXM 500 Sound Single-8 Working on this camera from time to time. And testing it as progress is made. Looking forward to finishing it.

Théâtre du Grand-Guignol As a fan of Horror, Gore and theatre. Just Imagine sitting in the seats at Théâtre du Grand-Guignol back in those days.

Canon 310 XL A motor inside the Canon 310 XL. During an "overhaul" the camera will have to be dismantled. Parts cleaned, some (such as with it's brittle lens housing parts) have to be re-constructed then finally the camera reassembled. This camera was dropped in muddy water.

Battery spring from a Canon 310-XL Super8. Notice it's battery spring is rusted from top to bottom in a single line. This must be dealt with before re-installation. Because, rust spreads.

Talk Experimental Film or Talk Avant-Garde Filmmaking It's amazing how film enthusiasts talk more about Experimental Film than The Tricks of the Trade concerning a production. Far less discuss what film stock was used, camera(s) that filmed a picture etc. Seems both are equally a wise choice.

Water Damage Canon 310XL On its component board and lots of water damage all over the cameras inside. Much testing on this board as water creates rust. However there's usually hope for that.

This is why I despise KARAOKE I was recording the repair of a Canon 310 XL (water damage) when suddenly someone outside started singing KARAOKE. Well...this recording will have to wait a while. 🖕Thanks Pal😑
