NYers deserve reps who fight for their interests, not those who sacrifice the health & financial security of their constituents on the altar of Trump and Musk. I will continue to stand against these harmful cuts & work to ensure that all can access quality, affordable healthcare.

Let's be clear about what's happening here. NY Republicans are stealing from their constituents to give to the wealthiest man in the world, Elon Musk. They're taking healthcare from children, seniors & others to fund tax breaks for billionaires who don't need them. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

I am deeply disturbed that my GOP colleagues from New York have chosen to support a budget resolution that would devastate healthcare for our most vulnerable citizens by slashing Medicaid funding by a staggering $880 billion. Here they are by district: ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Let’s review what’s going on here: ⚕️ Republicans want to rip Medicaid away from millions of Americans. 💊 Republicans want to raise the costs of healthcare and prescription drugs like insulin. 🛒 Republicans want to jack up grocery costs for working families.

MARCO RUBIO IN 2017: "Foreign Aid is not charity. We must make sure it is well spent, but it is less than 1% of budget & critical to our national security.” MARCO RUBIO IN 2025: "USAID is a global charity."

We are truly in the dumbest, Trumpiest, and Musk-iest (gross) timeline. www.nbcnews.com/politics/dog...

Spoke at an Anti-Trump and Anti-Musk protest today in Albany at the steps of the capitol. It was great to hear encouraging words from Congressman @paultonko.bsky.social and NYS Senator @patfahy.bsky.social

Thanks to programs like Medicaid, we are living better, longer, and healthier lives. But if Republicans follow through with plans to cut Medicaid, it will make America sicker and create chaos in our health care system.

So proud to have gotten to stand with @edmarkey.bsky.social @yassaminansari.bsky.social @paultonko.bsky.social and many friends at EPA today to call on Trump and Musk and Administrator Zeldin to stop the illegal freeze of funds and reinstate #environmentaljustice staff

In their budget, Trump and @GOP takes a hatchet to Medicaid, cutting hundreds of billions of dollars, doing nothing but jeopardize care for millions of children, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly.

Trump promised Cap Region families that their lives would be made “great again” on Day One. Instead, Trump and the GOP's budget proposal decimates and destroys the programs that millions of Americans rely on for the basic necessities of life. www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2vy...

Today I stood with my constituents in Albany to defend our democratic institutions and witnessed why I serve - because the people of New York's 20th district care deeply about accountability and the rule of law. #AlbanyRally #Accountability #Democracy #Trump #MAGA #Musk

The founders of our nation had a dream of an America not beholden to one monarch, but governed by three co-equal branches of government: the Legislative branch to make the law, the Executive branch to enforce the law, and the Judicial branch to interpret the law.

Budgets are a reflection of our values and priorities as a nation. The @GOP budget guts Medicaid & other health programs, all to pad the wallets of the already wealthy and well-connected. It's a rip-off that hurts working families.

It is truly embarrassing to see companies like Facebook and Google capitulate to Trump and President Musk. www.cbsnews.com/news/google-...

Inflation just jumped to 3% for the first time in 7 months thanks to Trump. Republicans said they were going to fix this. What are they doing? www.cnn.com/2025/02/12/b...

Very kind of President Musk to join Trump today. www.npr.org/2025/02/11/n...

After violating the law in his first term, Trump's decided to do away with it entirely in his second, opening the floodgates for even more corruption in his administration. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/11/u...

Trump's ultimatum to federal workers expires today – and I'm demanding his resignation for failing to meet his own minimum standards.

As we celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth I'm reflecting on the profound words of my friend, the late John Lewis, who called on us to 'get in good trouble.' His wisdom resonates today as we witness concerning attempts to roll back decades of progress on civil rights & equal opportunity

Happy birthday to the Mother of the Civil Rights Movement, the incredible Rosa Parks. Rosa Parks fought fearlessly against segregation and sexual violence throughout her lifetime. We celebrate her memory by continuing to fight all discrimination, violence, and hatred.

As the Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Environment, I will fight to protect our environment and against any efforts that roll back climate provisions we secured under the Inflation Reduction Act.

Four years and one week as President and he still has no idea what he's doing. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Trump’s recent executive orders turn back the clock on the progress we have made over the last four years on combating climate change. Trump has wasted no time undoing the progress that Democrats and the Biden Administration worked to put in place.

On his first day in office, Donald Trump, a convicted felon, pardoned hundreds of people who violently attacked police officers, costing multiple LEOs their lives. Republicans continue to act like this was a regular day in our nation's capital.

On Day 1, Trump signed more than 200 Executive Actions. None do anything meaningful to lower the cost of living. In fact, some make it easier for Big Pharma and Big Oil to jack up costs on hardworking American taxpayers.

Trump has promised a “Golden Age”. For whom? Not for people who rely on affordable medications Not for people who want more affordable groceries Not for the next generation inheriting the planet Not for the LGBTQ+ community Only for the already wealthy and well-connected.

This week Trump announced he's ending the government’s work on environmental justice. This is just the beginning and Climate Dems will continue the fight against Trump's and big pollution's reckless agendas.
