Now that was some day, wasn't it?

Me too. A glorious day that capped a good weekend home from Portsmouth. I was in there with a red mate so I stayed classy-ish!🙂🙂

Said the same earlier this week.

I was there too. Very interesting after the match, especially when many of us told the police we were heading back to London!

I suspect it was one of the more interesting of their conversations. Doubt there'd be any formal agreement. I think they'll need to get their senior team in place before there's any certainty around management hierarchy.

The only time we had a normal Manager/DoF structure was Brands & Silva, where Silva appeared the junior party. Once Carlo was appointed, that finished. Given his experience at WHU, where he's clearly been proved right, I'm sure Moyes will insist on at least an equal level of authority with any DoF.

I wasn't convinced that Brands knew the difference between a talented player and one that's effective in this league. Hard to fairly judge anyone under the old regime.

If that's what they're intending, they'll have started the conversations already.

He had to follow the party line while Dyche was there and has more freedom now. No doubt boosted by the fact that Beto, Lindstrom & O'Brien look better under a different manager. I think he's done a good job under the circumstances. Wouldn't surprise me if they get their own man in the summer.

I remember walking out of a gig at London's Kilburn National in the late 80s and ringing Clubcall from a phone box to find out how we'd got on. I fed that box plenty of coins before finding out we'd lost!

Yes, long time since my first one in 1973. Lost that 2-0 as well!
Some positives in the last 30 mins, but the damage was done by then.

Cheers John, thanks for your comment. It's a lovely little walk within a walker's paradise. Such a good landscape that the photos (with my phone) take themselves!

Perfect time to come back. He'll be delighted to come back into a team playing football with some forward intent.

A much better player who there are people ahead of him moving forwards and creating space.

Proper way to do business. It doesn't matter who we're 'linked with', it all about who we actually bring in.

I don't think I ever saw Souness whinge so much as he did in that game. McMahon was like a man possessed!

My first Derby win. Missed the 1978 win for a gig in London. A wonderful day and evening to follow. I'm not sure there was a ball on the pitch very often in this game!
