For a single node cluster k3s is the easiest. For a multi-node one (I need it for a demo platform) I use Lima VMs and Ansible to install everything into them. It's good to have multiple thin-provisioned disks 1 TiB each on you laptop 😉

Pittsburgh is at 1,233 ft above sea level. I don't think it makes a lot of difference if we are talking hundreds of miles.

It's either one antenna at 382 miles and the other at the ground level, or two antennas at ~100 miles each, in LA and Pittsburgh

I guess they want to generate a key for that number and store it _somewhere_. And a record in contacts is the most obvious place for that. Just my guess.

Avis Preferred always worked for me exactly like that: you go directly to the parking lot and get your car. I guess it depends on the rental company.
