I'd add: Never call cops on anyone in a psychiatric emergency — if it can be avoided. It usually can. Just keep the other person safe and wait it out. Calling cops into a psychiatric emergency can quickly become deadly.

We're asking the court to either release Mahmoud Khalil on bail or transfer him to New Jersey so that he can be closer to his wife and newborn son as his case continues. Mahmoud deserves to be with his family and we won't stop until he's reunited with them for good.
