there's no way elon musk has listened to holding muzak this side of the year 2000.

if we want to see change in how the railway is run then we shouldn't look to open access operators. the key things we need to take back control would be the abolition of the treasury department and devolving services (which are already government-led) to regional and metropolitan areas.

to be clear both towns already have rail connections at a half-hourly-ish frequency on the railway with journey times that are already competitive with driving. the only way for an OAO to get DfT approval is if they provide a business case for profit-seeking.
comment in response to post
that's a moot point because by their definition open access operators on the uk railway network can only operate between places that already have a rail connection. if the co-op were building their own stretch of railway that would be different but they're not.

the OAOs are an attempt to introduce a sort of faux competition rather than investing directly in current services and communities. a better example of railways getting better governance would be the bee network taking over their loca rail franchise services.

we need to increase our capacity on the railways. we need hs2 yesterday!

this was only allowed in by the government under the open access operator scheme to drive competition on the railways. like others such as lumo it's not part of an integrated plan or community driven solution, and creates a situation where operators are fighting each other for fares and passengers.

yeah, if everything baldoni was doing was scripted and expected then it would've been fine, but clearly he showed a pattern of behaviour which resulted in her making that request, no? how is that a fake grievance? especially when he clearly realised he had fucked up at the time.

it seems quite likely that day that we lost a trans sibling; someone who escaped a conservative religious sect only to find herself feeling trapped working for a fascist military. www.assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

is that not the problem tho? that she went into what she thought were going to be non intimate scenes, and baldoni would just start improvising intimate moments? you shouldn't need pre production meetings to go "i dont want to be randomly kissed off script during a non intimate scene"?

the leaps of logic you're going to to paint someone who had to ask for basic intimacy coordination and consent seeking in her workplace as the bad guy and not the producer who thinks it's okay to get someone who publicly breastfeeds to get their tits out on demand is the reason i made my post.

i think going around replying to posts about this fixating on how one part of the blake lively bashing was an organic post is disingenuous, and distracts from the fact that baldoni did (& admitted to as much) weird sexual advances on set and was employing a pr team to change the online conversation.
comment in response to post
respectfully, i don't think that you have a rational view of this situation. lively being a dick in an interview is not the same as baldoni being sexually invasive on set. this isn't a wrestling match where you get to root for your favourite. someone is exhibiting genuinely predatory behaviour.

no it's reality as proven in court documents as revealed to the public?? please educate yourself on this before brazenly reply guying on every post that comes up when you search for justin baldoni. www.nytimes.com/2024/12/21/b...

have we even sent everyone an email to see what they have actually done in the last week? perhaps they could spend less time polishing their boots and start side hustles of some kind?
