If it were me I’d toss meh and lol. Maybe one day we’ll get back to a news cycle that inspires those reactions. 💩

You get extra points on the score if you’re fluent enough to do the interview in French, which I found out recently for no particular reason.

I think we do well on the small scale here!

You're good. In truth I only first followed you cause you keep posting pictures from my neighborhood and who doesn't like someone who loves what they love. ;-)

Time Team got me through lockdown. Their joy in archeology is a miracle.

Not perverse :-) I felt that when I went hiking in the southwest for the first time after haunting the PNW woods for years. I didn't know where I was! When I looked up and out, all the landmarks were totally uninformative. It was as though *anything* might be anywhere. Strangely liberating.

I’m getting on that plane Saturday, and again first week in march. My elderly and declining parents are still in NYC, and I live in Portland. No one else in this world needs me, so I’ll roll the dice.

It was one of my favorite parts from that great and strange book, but it’s been forever since I thought of it. A timely reminder.

There were a few- green on green in the woods, flames in orange. I tried to find a pic I’d submitted years ago to a PH calendar effort- blue and white snow and glacier up white river canyon, but couldn’t find it. What I’ve liked most is thinking up originalish theme interpretations.

You'd enjoy it Kep! On Mondays @churchstreetimages.com announces a theme, so you have the week to think about interpreting it, then on Saturdays everybody posts. I usually do photos but occasional poetry attempts happen :-) Hope you're well, it's been forever.

Lately I’ve been thinking how much I would like you to explain Franco over whiskey.

I’m so glad! It was so good to look through the pictures from this trip. Going in the off-season with so much beauty and no crowds… remembering that we are part of natures helps to heal.

My neighbor and I were talking over the fence today when we realized that a hummingbird family had nested in a rhodie there and had an EGG. Crazy birds.

More rewarding than the dangers outside the forest though.
