i love these two sm
im not the best at fighting stuff and writing fighting scenes, but it fortunately didnt stop me from revamping aries and making kian
ive drawn aries many times and maybe kian is next??? im stilla bit indecisive over the specifics of his features

outside the ring, kian looks up to aries a lot
aries is a loner that has no friends but kian is a social butterfly that connects with a lot of people
of course the two end up as friends eventually even if aries starts out extremely aversive of kian due to his behavior, which aries finds annoying

as someone with low standing in the ring, kian has a lot to prove and it only fuels his need to win
the only time he does have trouble is when he's faced with someone that can match his speed and reflexes. a difference in size or strength usually isn't a problem since he can finish with chokeholds

which is surprising for someone that appears to be careless, but there's a calculated precision to it to maximize his time in the ring without sacrificing his win
after all, kian joined them on purpose. he wants to feel alive, and in the ring he's loved by many

lots of mobility and airtime, appropriate for his alias (he actually wanted duck but he got put as monkey instead after his test fight)
kian makes use of his limbs, taking advantage of momentum and weak points from his opponents' moves
unlike aries, every move of his has a lot of thought

kian is by all means a showboat
he loves the applause, and when he fights, it's always entertaining to watch
he provokes his opponents, he works the crowd, and he makes choices that are made for the sole purpose of getting a reaction out of the viewers
this is perfect for his style which has +

he isn't intimidating, and if anything, the way he acts leads him to be underestimated
his fighting style is derived from muay-thai and jiu-jitsu, though not entirely since the fighting ring allows a lot of dirty tricks that has him improvising for most of the time

in contrast,
kian is 6'0", with a slim lean build with clear definition to his muscles
this is reflective of his lifestyle, keeping active in mobility exercises both in and out the ring. right from the start, his opponents know from his looks alone that kian is not a direct threat

even then, he releases it in a way that's controlled, at least at first
aries tries not to let his emotions cloud his judgment, so while it fuels him in the ring, he remains strategic in his approach
until more blood is spilled and his thirst makes him impatient to get the most out of it

despite the audience, aries doesn't care abut them -- to him it's about releasing steam
fighting to him is therapeutic; it's an outlet for the bottomless anger inside him. once the bell rings, he's almost blinded by the rage
it's exciting, and it's one of the few times he can feel alive

there's no clear practice to his fighting style, it's not derived from anything but raw experience from his life in the streets and years in the fighting ring
it's almost feral, how he lunges at his enemies, driving them to the ground and making a show of the difference in their strengths
comment in response to

he can dish out hits just as strong if not much stronger
which is important as he's in the higher rungs of the ladder. his fights are deadlier, and are sometimes rigged against him because his strength alone often tips the balance too much that the fights end too early

my main thought rn is the sheer difference in how they fight
aries is a 6'7" brute with a body that shows his strength just from the size alone. his muscle isn't cut at all, closer to a strongman's build
he can take a lot of hits with no worries because his body is built for it +

so i have two underground fighter OCs, aries and kian
both work under the same mob that handles the fighting ring, and both have aliases matching the masks they wear to hide their identities
aries is known as lamb
kian is known as monkey
