Fun little fact: I have a Masters Degree in Rhetoric. My thesis was on St. Augustine’s preaching against the heresy of the Pelagians. Augustine was essential in the theology of the early church because he was so persuasive. He was also Black. It tickles me that Pope Leo is an Augustinian.
