Yep, and IMO these AI "relationships" will only reinforce their misogyny. That video going around with the guy who "loves" an AI which then revealed that he had a real wife, and that her reaction was "it's my fault for not being good enough," rang huge alarm bells.

I ain't reading that, but the idea of people thinking "love" means "to receive endless affirmations from an unthinking object with no needs or wants of its own" disturbs me.

Nice, thank you! Maiden bass player Steve Harris got the font from the movie poster (according to the dvd The Early Days) and probably didn't know its actual name either. And yeah, it was your posts on tv show fonts that prompted me to post this :)

Though I first noticed it on the VHS cover for The Man Who Fell To Earth, which has quite a different vibe to the poster.

Hope you like it! The Siegel has a real TV movie atmosphere, but it also has that cast.

My Criterion dvd has the Robert Siodmak, Andrei Tarkovsky and Don Siegel adaptations all in one place, as well as a reading of Hemingway's story by Stacy Keach. Too bad Reagan only dies in one of them.

Here's an example. You can walk into stores all over NZ and pick this up for $45. This person has marked it up to $109 and is charging $16 postage on top of that - over twice the usual courier costs. And people are paying these prices. Shop around, don't let crooks like this fleece you.

I should probably post an example from the actual serial in question, The Ambassadors of Death, given that it is unique.

It remains a crime that Delia Derbyshire was never credited on the show. If you ever heard composer Ron Grainer's own attempt at arranging the theme music, you'll find that it's entirely Derbyshire's extraordinary tape manipulations that made it special.

Also, I love what they did with the opening - the theme starts with the title and Jon Pertwee's face, then it fades to a recap of the previous episode's cliffhanger, then Delia Derbyshire's astounding arrangement of the theme comes screaming back with the rest of the credits. Only time this happens.
