This audience member got it in one 🎯 For all the talk about the EU-UK deal - Scotland voted to stay in, and our best future is as an independent country in the EU in our own right. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This is spot on. Many insist Scotland wanting to be independent is somehow anti-English. It’s not. We’ll be delighted if England does well, but in the meantime we’d like to, and are entitled to, make our own choices.

🚨Horrified to find that David Lammy branded our story on his government's arms sales to Israel "clickbait" in the Commons. Our story is based on the UK Government's own figures, published on Thursday.

Humility. I'd like to see a bit of humility from England and maybe some genuine regret - maybe even a wee apology? - for dragging Remain-voting Scotland out of the EU with them, now that they appear to be coming to their senses. Don't suppose it will happen, though.

Something tells me that independence is inevitable.

What cataclysmic event will it take to get Scottish unionists off their knees. A rich, oil-producing country now has no capacity to refine oil. One of the cradles of the industrial revolution is being asset stripped to ensure dependency on England. We must be independent to survive, then thrive.

Did you know that since Scotland was promised 'more powers' if we voted No to independence in 2014, Westminster has actually stripped more than two dozen key powers from Holyrood and overruled devolved decisions made by the Scottish Government 13 times.

Eyes on the prize. #ScottishIndependenceASAP

NEW: The UK Government will not split the country's energy market into regions if it raises people’s bills 'in some parts of the UK', Ed Miliband has said This is despite Octopus Energy previously arguing Scotland would have the 'cheapest electricity in Europe' if zonal pricing was introduced.

Gary Lineker tells the truth about Gaza - and absolutely humiliates the British media

Your occasional reminder that every single #Indyref2 poll over the last two and a half years not weighted by 2014 voting patterns shows a majority in favour of #ScottishIndependence That’s why they refuse a referendum.

Starmer’s welfare cuts will push hundreds of thousands into poverty and Sarwar’s MSPs are 🤐🤐🤐 So what is the point of Scottish Labour..?

Despite having its hands tied, Scotland still does it better. With #ScottishIndependence and a written constitution and all the levers of control we can eradicate child poverty in Scotland. #YouYesYet? If you're #undecided - do you want Scotland dragged down to the lowest common denominator?

Where's the evidence that mental health is being "overdiagnosed"?

The government is going to slash benefits for some of the most vulnerable people today - and no impact assessment is going to be published to explain why or what the reason is. I hope someone challenges this by judicial review. I'll chip in towards the costs. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/03...

Starmer proves that whatever Labour once stood for is dead. Labour doesn’t offer change. The only alternative for Scotland to this failed status quo is independence My column in @heraldscotland.bsky.social on how Labour now fuels Indy as much as the Tories did www.heraldscotland.com/politics/vie...

Grangemouth oil refinery closure is a heinous act by the English political class aimed at undermining a future independent Scotland and benefits their economy. Labour MPs from Scotland happy to support that and attacks on the most vulnerable in society. Remember #change?

The only question is when.

Scottish child poverty is expected to fall from 24% in 2021/22 to around 19.8% by 2029. This decline is attributed to specific SNP policies like the Scottish Child Payment, which increases to £27.15 per child per week from April. England is forecast to be 30% and Wales 34% by 2029.

🤬🤬 union of equals, my ass 😡

We have to spread the good news because the media will not. #independence #Scotland
