I think if Trump declares a state of emergency, he can order the National Guard in, and it overrides Newsom's authority.

LAPD denies assistance to ICE to leave area. Sheriff also denies assistance to ICE. ICE is trapped by the people of Paramount. Live streamer : “They’re gonna have to call their daddies to come get them”

After my break, it’s still going on. The sheriff’s dept has told ICE they’re on their own and have to figure out how to leave by themselves. They are refusing to assist. LAPD are only monitoring that the crowd doesn’t spread into other areas. The stand off continues. ICE vs LA.

I'm only interested in Canadian mystery writers, and I don't think there would have been any who would have published through UNBOUND. It was an unusual business plan they held. They crowdfunded the costs of publishing individual books and then went under.

Yes, that has always been the problem ... the duty to consult requires "accommodation" of FN concerns but in reality that compels FN to "accommodate" damaging projects that might adversely affect their treaty rights or Indigenous title. The lens has always been backwards.

You completely underestimate Trump's pettiness and desire for revenge. He'll destroy both of them. Watch him cancel Starlink contracts.

I used to send out hundreds of Christmas cards. It was almost a tradition among Realtors as well to send out annual calendars. There's only one reason we don't do it anymore and that's the cost of postage.

I'm old enough to remember the four cent stamp. It's now $1.40 per letter. If you want more people to use the postal system it has to be affordable which means dropping the prices, not raising them, and let volume make up for the lower price.

Yes, I think the mistake was turning it into a corporation that was expected to turn a profit. We don't expect roads to make money, or hospitals, or police. It's an essential service.

How can he "heavily mention" a conversation?

Incredibly cute! Is that really a floppy-eared rabbit? Those are the tallest ears I've ever seen on a bunny - almost hare-like!
