It's beginning to feel like spring!

#RomanSiteSaturday Two photographs, taken 50+ years apart, of the Mithras Temple, south of Brocolita Roman Fort on @hwpath.bsky.social

Beautiful sunny day today so here's a nice photo of the start of the @pennineway.bsky.social taken way back in April 2015 when there were celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the national trail's opening. #FingerPostFriday

It's cold & wet where I am now. Here's a blast from the past from our Glasgow to Edinburgh walk in May 2018. The Kelpies & the Falkirk Wheel are definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. We walked some of the Antonine Wall too.

Went for another walk today. Bus down to Slaggyford on the @pennineway.bsky.social then walked back along the South Tyne Trail to Haltwhistle. Lambley Viaduct is just magnificent. Hard to believe that I actually travelled that route by train in 1976! How time flies.

Absolutely delighted than no full @spinerace.bsky.social runners retired at Hut 2 this year. Brilliant that too that Tim made it home. The last one in is always a hero.

Still watching the Spine but went out for a walk from Birdoswald on @hwpath.bsky.social to Walltown Quarry to stretch my legs. It's a lovely walk I've done about a dozen times now.
