OK, I think I get it. After reading the ruling, my understanding of whether the DC District Court has jurisdiction is based on whether the IEEPA is a "law providing for tariffs." If it IS, then the DC court is not the proper court; the Court of International Trade (CIT) would have jurisdiction. 1/

I first heard @brendanvduke.bsky.social say this, but this isn't a case where we're all trying to tighten our belts to address the deficit. Instead, Rs are asking the poorest people in America to tighten their belts to make room for tax cuts that go to the rich - all while increasing the deficit.
