Ah yeah, I sent in my form. Discrimination faced: my really pretty trans neighbor says "hi" to me when out walking her dogs, my trans acquaintance brought me soup when I was sick, my trans friend picked up my daughter from the nurse's office for me when I was across town & couldn't...

I'll also note that some doctors gatekeep menopause care as aggressively as others gatekeep trans care. My own mother was "just wait two more months!"-ed through a year of night sweats and fatigue :/
comment in response to post
You'd have to find a sympathetic doctor, the T dose for menopause is usually much lower to avoid virilization. But yeah, there's plenty of ways to code GAC that don't reference gender dysphoria or trans status

Thank you. It looks to me like this bill, with its amendments, would prohibit all transition healthcare on Medicaid & ACA. I'm one of your constituents and that's a very important issue for me, I'm glad you voted against.

Making food accommodations is not a bother. It's what you do when you take on the responsibility of feeding someone. It's a profound honor to be able to take on that act of care. And fuck anyone who makes you feel otherwise.

during trump 1, an acquaintance posted "if I have any friends struggling with immigration, tell me what I can do to help" . my wife asked him to write USCIS a letter saying her marriage was sincere & for love. he said she wasn't at risk - he'd meant POC. want to guess how many POC friends he had?

I haven't seen WATCHDOG (Taylor-Smith sisters) yet, but I'm pretty sure this is what it's about

usps will let you send most flat cardboard rectangles of reasonable size as a postcard if you address and stamp it correctly... my dad would find this separator card *hilarious* as a birthday card

Thank you so much for writing this! For awhile my favorite article about her was in a German-language magazine (www.rbb24.de/panorama/bei...), it's lovely to read yours.

The same person ran counter for both shops, last year - when we went in to check out OUTDOOR PLANTS we had to wait a minute for them to come over from INFRARED SAUNA COLD PLUNGE (the selection of OUTDOOR PLANTS is meh, though they do have lots of crystals! I recommend Natty Garden instead)

I married someone with celiac and this happened several times in the first few years 💀 Usually it's "...and then I add soy sauce", assuming you don't gotta check the ingredient label

Oh jeez, that's so frustrating. I remember you from the candidate forum, thanks for running! Hopefully anyone engaged enough to vote for progressive candidates will actually look into what people said, not just try to flip bad advice

Is it cool if I link it here? Took me a few minutes of searching to find, but maybe nobody's posting the link for a reason?

Important information: PLACE-NYC pad their recommendations, if they can't find at least three douchebags per district, they pick whatever young white woman seems least politically aware. You can't be 100% sure someone is trouble just from them being PLACE-recommended.

The most relevantly-tense part of 2020 (for me) was around May or June when the mask narrative flipped. Rationally I understand "changing your mind based on information", but practically, it sucked ass implementing the 180

Now I'm flashing back to the look they give you when you pay a penny at the Met 😆

No! Sorry for being unclear. Owner gave $30, as an example amount people have paid at least once, when the interviewer asked the most anyone's paid.

Principles in Gowanus has pay-what-you-wish. In a Times article (www.nytimes.com/2022/09/02/n...) the owner quoted $30+ for that. I also see $18 on their pourover menu: principlesbk.nyc/menu-1

Author passed in 2020. Obit: everloved.com/life-of/ffio... "She went on to publish a unique lesbian cookbook" 😆❤️

That's the most lesbian kitchen I've seen since 2002

Odd thing is when they claim / imply that girls aren't often lonely, don't repress feelings, aren't subject to antagonistic messaging about their gender... which... hmm

I know a double handful of people who half-meet this description: egg trans women, black men who were told it's bad to be (black) boys, guys w/ unprocessed baggage about their abusive mothers who hated them being male, & guys with OCD or other scrupulosity/anxiety disorders
