Absolutely brutal.

“Some officials say U.S. citizens who criticize administration policies could be charged with crimes, based on the notion that they're aiding terrorists and criminals.”

BREAKING: we won! A federal judge has enjoined the administration's shut down of Voice of America Another success for the Constitution and for us @sddaction.bsky.social & our many wonderful partners & clients More details to follow--stay tuned!

•••••BREAKING••••• Rep. Don Bacon, a prominent Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, is now the first sitting GOP lawmaker to state publicly that Trump should fire Pete Hegseth. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Sullivan: It’s amazing when someone who describes themselves as your friend, your supporter, someone who actually came in to work for you—leaves and, within 100 days of you taking office, writes an op-ed describing a total meltdown, utter chaos, and essentially calls on President Trump to fire you.

Homeland Security Secretary can’t secure her own purse.

Jasmine Crockett: ''I’m glad the Supreme Court stepped in and stopped that plane from taking off last night. Because deporting folks with no criminal record and no due process isn’t justice—it’s cruelty. You can’t scream 'law and order' while breaking the law at every turn.''

Serious question. Kristi Noem was pictured with a Rolex in El Salvador, and got 3k in cash stolen. She has been on a govt salary for years. Something aint right

Not to state the obvious, but none of them were sent to a terrorist prison in El Salvador. They all had lawyers, indictment by grand jury, a trial or a guilty plea where a judge ensured it was knowing & voluntary & access to an appeals process. In other words, all the hallmarks of due process.

This is a very, very complex and exceedingly thorough process that involves extensive use of the president’s TiVo remote, so please, please, everyone, give it time www.npr.org/2025/04/21/n...

Primarying candidates who've already shown they can win isn't searching for "effective" candidates, it's searching for candidates certain kinds of activists prefer.

The Senate seats that the Dems saved even in states where Trump won were gained exactly by appealing to the center.

People post this stuff as if 2018, 2020, and the Senate and House wins in 2024 never happened. It's the Blue MAGA equivalent of denying reality that's right in front of you.

Tea-party purity testing actually cost the Republicans winnable seats. I know history can be anything you want it to be, but Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock, Christine O'Donnell and others might be instructive examples here.

Confirmed tornado NOW, just NE of Ada. Debris being lofted into the radar signal just S of Francis. #okwx

Like Lindsey Graham before him, Marco Rubio is currently defining what it means to abandon absolutely every principle one used to hold dear. Today he shrugged at the idea that we might need to “move on” from supporting Ukraine. But here’s how he used to sound:

This "WHO'S NEVER COMING BACK" document published by the White House should be "EXHIBIT A" in any forthcoming hearing where a judge/justice has asked the White House to prove how it is "facilitating" the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Fox News has resorted to just straight up lying about Abrego Garcia, who has never been convicted or even charged with a crime

“If you had assumed we were incompetent, you wouldn’t be in this mess”

been waiting for this it’s still a gut punch…literally www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

And many are outright geniuses, and engage in more productive activity in an hour than RFK Jr. will in his entire life.

A coalition of Jewish groups warns that the Trump administration stripping international students of visas under the guise of fighting antisemitism actually makes Jews less safe and undermines the rule of law.

Excellent. Here’s the habeas lawsuit filed in DC for all the men disappeared to CECOT we were waiting for.

Now imagine that, but everything the administration touches.

It’s almost as though everyone in Trump’s orbit, inside and outside government, gets together on a (non-secure) Zoom call to decide “What’s the most corrupt and illegal thing we can do today? And on some days they can’t reach consensus so they just go ahead and do them all.

Honestly I'm glad they picked Harvard to try out this novel "we're mad" legal theory of revoking tax-exempt status, given its infinite resources, deep network of powerful alumni, and law school attended by 142 sitting federal judges. Good luck! 🫡

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism. If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone. Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

They should be more concerned

“They’re not really using AI, they’re not really driving efficiency. What they’re doing is smashing everything,” the former official said. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

You cannot legally send Americans to an El Salvadorian prison no matter what they have done. Plain and simple.

My bff’s son works for Americorps and received a decommissioning letter today. DOGE is gutting the program. I’m so angry and disappointed DOGE would go after a program that does such good work. @marisakabas.bsky.social @kairyssdal.bsky.social @katiephang.bsky.social

A federal judge just ordered intensive expedited discovery into Trump’s illegal deportation of Abrego Garcia. The latest:

This was honestly the most disturbing day yet. And I’m including J6.

I'll say it again: in a country where due process is individually denied and then broadly eroded and eventually eliminated, being a citizen will not protect you from the terror of this administration.

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

“I was just following orders” was not a defense at Nuremberg. And it won’t be a defense in the future here.

I have to believe at this point that Alito and Thomas are pleased that things are finally happening the way they've always wanted them to

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

BREAKING: U.S. businesses sue to block Trump tariffs, say trade deficits are not an emergency. 🔥🔥🔥

So by paying our taxes, we pay for a Central American dictator who runs the 116th-richest nation in the world to build five more supermax concentration camps slated to be filled with our countrymen and wholly innocent legal permanent residents of the United States? Is that right?

So, if I understand correctly, the President of the United States is saying that the Supreme Court of the United States consists of nine “sick people,” including three whom he appointed. apple.news/AMHDqIFcpRxi...

Federal spending is *up* under Trump according to the Wall Street Journal. Chaos is not actually the same as cost savings. Actual budgeting is a kind of actual policy-making and takes real work spread over real time. Running around breaking stuff isn't that. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

We found in our recent experimental study that politicians who talk about ending "anti-Christian bias" are often heard by White Christians as promising to stamp out anti-WHITE bias. It's a racial dog whistle, a less offensive way of saying "I'll stick up for White people." doi.org/10.1177/0956...

I’m angry about many, many, aspects of Trumpism. And it’s not the top of my list, but I hate the amount of media (and mental) space occupied by absolute cranks, racists, and fools who have been promot because of their venality stupidity. If this is “meritocracy,” it is a meritocray of monsters.

He's manufacturing chaos because he has nothing to offer. No vision. No ideas. No interest in building anything. Just tearing down what others have built.
