-for the DCI, but I’d argue it’s more likely the retcon

FNAF 2 night 6 heavily alludes to Golden Freddy being the killer suit. Ralph talks about how someone used one of the suits. “A yellow one.” And then that same night Golden Freddy shows up. A lot of people use this as evidence that Afton just used the Golden Freddy suit-

When Scott was writing the lore for FNAF 3 (and further fleshing out old lore with it) and created the character of Springbonnie, that’s when he made the ultimate decision for the Springbonnie suit to have been the purple guy’s killer suit.

If we just use the first two games for lore and block everything else out, the first two games (ESPECIALLY FNAF 2) seem to be telling us that William Afton used the Golden Freddy suit to commit the murders.

I believe retcon was the suit William Afton used to commit his murders. I’m not the first person to come to this conclusion, but I also don’t see a lot of people bringing it up.

Yes I know that’s kind of a boring rebuttal to that argument, but what do I think of the retcon. I agree the retcon took place sometime in the first three games. More exact, I think the retcon occured in FNAF 3.

While the 20 years line is clearly a contradiction to what we know now (with Freddy’s being founded in 1983), I honestly think it’s just as likely that Scott forgot about that line entirely. I would not be surprised if that’s the case.

The ultimate conclusion that was given in Withered’s was the whole “20 years” like from Ralph in the first game. And while the evidence for that being the retcon is there, I do have to disagree.

My main motive for making this is because I just got done watching WitheredCircle’s video on the retcon but it did get me thinking about it.

Does the retcon actually matter? No, it really does not matter that much. Is it still interesting to think about? Yes, that’s why I’m writing this in the first place.

-I’d argue the HW2 update provides evidence to reasonably come to the assumption that the Mimic’s origin story took place in 1979, the same year as SOTM. I just have trouble believing Fazbear could’ve expanded the building to that degree in less than a year like that.

I’ll keep saying this, but the idea that Mimic just saw the MCI and started mimicking Afton makes no sense
If that’s the case, then how would Glitchtrap know about Charlotte?? And we know he knows due to HW 2’s memories
