Hot take probably, the original characters in Across the Spiderverse look incredible, ground breaking... but the toon shader characters of classic characters looks atrocious. I genuinely think TV animation has done better for over a decade. The difference is honestly insulting.

Using Maya for the building art has really helped step up my progress! I can plan right from rough the dimensions of a map space and then build more logical proportionate structures with consistency. I can use these assets when making larger town and world maps or key art for splash pages and stuff!
