“Only a heap of boulders and a single standing stone remain of what was probably a Clava cairn” HES….but Culloden cairn is a great location overlooking the Moray Firth #TombTuesday More pics on @megalithic.bsky.social here www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?...

30km cycle in the snow today, mostly because I just fancied sitting at the table at Auchtavan, with coffee and cake, watching distant Lochnagar 🙂 Decidedly (d)icey for much of the tracks at the bottom of Culardoch but mostly it was just the lovely crunch of soft snow under wheels 🙂

A wee bit of winter has returned to the #Cairngorms today – descending #MeallaBhuachaille east slope with views into the snowy central mountains.

"And still they lead me back To the long winding road" Felt like we had this part of the #Cairngorms to ourselves today.

‘The glory that once was’; Grey Cairn, Glenurquhart on the #BlackIsle. A massive round cairn now sadly hidden in inaccessible gorse. #TombTuesday More pics on @megalithic.bsky.social here www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?...
