Prefer one of Crowleys Cefalu parties than Trumps Mar-a-Lago ones.

Amazing! All these years I've believed that racism was the major underlying theme of both Othello and The Merchant of Venice.

I find this difficult to believe on 3 counts. The first is; does Trump have the authority. Second, The blow back will be massive and counter productive. Finally, the elephant in the room, the Hippocratic oath. The practitioner promises to "do no harm" and to have obligations "to all human beings"

All nuclear weapons are dangerous things regardless of ownership. The MAD doctrine, which I believe was successful during the Cold War, is now obsolete because of the rise of a terrorist doctrine that values death as highly as life. My beliefs were developed in a vastly different period of politics.

Critical thinking is extinct in this country school no longer prepares you for it
I was brought up demonizing Russia. I joined the RAF and demonized them. I've never changed
I've always been equivocal about Israel. 6 Days War and Yom Kippur I always supported. More recently that support has gone

When I first met my wife in 88, she arranged for us to meet her mother one weekend. She turned out to be a Greenham Common Woman. Not sure who was shocked more. But after a couple awkward hours, we faced the elephant in the room and eventually we agreed to disagree. It was a great relationship.

Putting strike aircraft on readiness at Akrotiri is a perfectly sensible move. We have a number of allies in the region that we would expect to support if the conflict spread, as well as protecting our bases in Cyprus. I do not support any move to support the Israeli action however

A difficult one David. I spent a very large part of my adult life "defending peace" and I do think that a nuclear weapon in Iran a very dangerous thing. I do not however support Israel expansionism.
War in the area could threaten our bases in Cyprus so an increase strike aircraft is no bad thing

I think the IAF use boom refuelling rather than hose, so would be incompatible with RAF tankers.

Tripping the Colour is as much about the regiment as it is about the king/queen. Far less of a vanity project.

Easy Lancashire has never had much time for people who are different. The judge probably told the Pendle Witches that he was a tolerant man. Maybe Tetlow is a descendent.

Never have, never will. If introducing the NHS couldn't keep the Attlee government in power more than 6 years then what hope have you?

Coming to a more genteel site seems to have worked wonders on your use of language. Fecking well done.
