President Trump’s repeated threats to dramatically expand tariffs are now a reality. Tariffs of 25% on goods from Mexico and Canada went into effect Tuesday morning, alongside an additional 10% tax on Chinese goods.

Just after midnight, 25% duties came into effect against Canada and Mexico. An additional 10% levy was imposed on Chinese goods on top of another 10% tariff that took effect earlier this month. A lower 10% duty was placed on Canadian energy imports.

From where Putin is sitting, it looks like Russia is now winning a yearslong struggle with the U.S. and the West. And the result may be more war.
